Hole 10

This par 5 is another hole that requires a sound strategy. A ‘burn’ runs alongside much of the left hand side of the fairway and although it is dry most of the year and is not a hazard, it should be avoided. Depending on the length of drive, the golfer has a choice of trying to get on or near the green with the second shot, or laying up before the bunker on the right hand side, about 60 metres before the green. The fairway also narrows dramatically near the green, which is guarded by bunkers on either side. The green is relatively straightforward, bar a large ‘thumbprint’ in its front left-hand corner.
