We are looking to improve aspects of the Burn on the left hand side of the 10th fairway using
- The resources John Spraggs and his team managing the growth and density of grass in the burn.
- Volunteers from the membership volunteers to remove the “Visible Stones” in the Burn and make piles on the opposite side of the fairway from the Burn for our Greens Staff to collect these stones
While this initiative is under way The Burn will remain in play and is an integral part of the course.
We propose to put say some trailers along the burn and groups, working bees and individuals can fill them up as they see fit. This will eliminate double handling of the stones. If you can loan a trailer please click here.
While they are there we will treat them as temporary immovable obstructions and a local rule will be published to provide relief.
Groups of golfers are welcome to from their own working bees as and when time permits,
